St. Anna is my special saint for many reasons, including that my bday is her feast day and also because she & Joachim were old, faithful parents who trusted God as my husband and I have tried to do while raising our eight blessings. Cancer stole my husband too early, so I especially wanted this icon of Joachim & Anna embracing. The construction is sturdy & well made.

I bought this icon a few years back for my wife and I's first wedding anniversary and just purchased again as a wedding gift. We struggled the first year of marriage really wanting a child and this icon gave my wife much consolation. Shortly after praying a novena to St. Anne and visiting a small rural shrine to her we were blessed with our first daughter. The icon also serves as a reminder to my wife and I to pursue mutual holiness in our sacramental vocation.
