I have been blessed to see the original icon in person and this replica is very beautiful. I am so happy I decided to get it. I love having icons on my wall of those I have seen because it helps me to feel more connected to them and to the place where they reside.
This is the main icon of the Theotokos that I have, and it serves me well. I like to look at the ornate riza/oclad's (metal with gemstones) details, and the facial expression on the Theotokos's face is wonderful. This icon of Her is more fun to pray with than most other icons.
