This is a high-quality reproduction of the miraculous, myrrh-streaming Icon of St Anna with the Infant Theotokos, which is treasured at St Tikhon of Zadonsk Monastery in South Canaan PA. The original was commissioned by Archimandrite Athanasy (rector of Our Lady of Joy of All Who Sorrow in Philadelphia) in 1998 and was painted at the Mount of Olives Convent in Jerusalem. It was found to be 'perspiring' fragrant myrrh in 2004. In 2011 Fr Athanasy settled at St Tikhon's Monastery and brought St Anna with him. She continued to stream myrrh off and on for many years, and exudes a wonderful fragrance. The icon is taken to parishes all across America, and many have been healed by anointing with the myrrh or contact with the icon. I purchased this icon as a surprise gift for a sister in another state who was in need of an icon of her patron saint, St Anna. She sent me a picture of it and it looks so beautiful! Thank you!
I've been buying products from Uncut Mountain for many, many years.
