I've acquired two of copies of this particular icon. One which hangs in my home, and one which hangs in the parish. To me this one truly speaks to St. John's role as the forerunner, and his passing of the baton to our Lord at the Jordan River.
This was a birthday gift for my grandfather who is a deacon. He said he loves it.
