I have had a difficult time finding an icon of this great modern luminary. It's difficult for iconographers to capture is features for some reason. However, this one is pretty close. I love the scroll with the quote. The only thing I am not completely happy with is his beard. I'm not quite sure what it is, but it seems to be lacking contrast and, therefore, blends in with the image too much. But I would still buy it again because I really like the expression on his face. I have a small icon wall which people see when they enter my home, and I have placed this icon along with one of Saint Paisios (my other favorite) there to greet all my visitors when they arrive.
Recently read his book, and wanted a nice icon of him. Perfect. I’m happy with it.
I got this print for an outdoor shrine for our garden, it's high quality and works perfectly.
This icon of St. Porphyrios brings me joy whenever I look at it. If you have read any of the many books about him, you know he was full of joy and love for Christ. This really comes through in this icon. I'm quite happy with it.
