Saint Robert or Rupert was a tireless missionary and bishop of the German lands and lived from 660-710 A.D. He converted many of the pagan tribes, built up churches and monasteries/convents and was a major force in growing Christianity throughout Bavaria near the Danube river. He reposed on Pascha Sunday in 710 and his body was placed in Salzburg Cathedral.
