that is an important icon that i picked up after listening to a series of podcasts done by father peter heers. then i read an entire website that he was referencing and bought several books on the subjects. i have read many books about the u.s.s.r. and this topic is barely even mentioned by authors. it is way more important than people realize and more should know about it. the icon itself is outstanding and has a prominent place on my wall in my icon corner. the detail on it is outstanding, and like i said i in the other review, it's actually way better in person.
The magnitude of Russian revolution and the loss to earth and the gain to heaven is clearly expressed. The death of the Martyrs is the seed of the church and gives hope for a new Russia to come.
