St Sophrony's collection of the sayings of St Silouan was instrumental in my conversion to Orthodoxy. I was happy to see this beautiful icon so I could place it next to my icon of St Silouan. UMS provides excellent workmanship for these holy images.
This is a superb image. The whole thing seems to radiate a golden light, as Fr. Sophrony sometimes seemed to do. I believe I perceived this radiance, when he told me that "Orthodoxy is Universal Love!""
We scratched our heads, hoping to find any icon of the saintly Elder Sophronius of Essex and searched almost everywhere, as our goddaughter is named after the monastery that he founded along with St. Silouan. We almost settled for his namesake's icon! Then we discovered Uncut Mountain Supply, who created the beautiful icon and shipped it to us in record time. Thank you so much, we will use you again!
