A mystical depiction of our Lord's Holy Transfiguration on Mt. Thabor. The Saviour is represented by an beautifully gemmed Cross on which His divine face is seen in the center and the Greek inscription, IXΘYC on top (Jesus Christ Son of God Saviour) and at the base the Latin inscription reading, SALVS MVNDI (Salvation of the World). Flanking the cross against a backdrop of golden skies are iconographic depictions of the holy Prophets Moses and Elijah. The sheep in the meadow below symbolize the holy Apostles Peter, James and John, Christ's "rational sheep" who were present at His Transfiguration.
