Amazing quality, it is worth the wait!
Our Parish purchased a number of icons recently, and while they are all fantastic, this large icon of Christ the Merciful has transformed the chapel wherein our Mission Parish gathers. Christ's presence via this window to heaven has been described as "unsettling." Not to say "disquieting." Unsettling as in, the sense of Christ's presence demands awareness of His present holiness. Glory to God!

This beautiful icon now adorns the small prayer corner I have in my bedroom. Despite the modern style of this particular icon, it still calls forth the majestic history of our faith in all its grandeur and mystery. Shipping took a bit longer than I expected, but it was well worth the wait to have and hold this striking reminder of our Lord and Savior. Christ is Risen!
A lovely and alluring work inviting contemplation and prayer; note on packing: please pack boxes full of stuffing as my delivered box had a hole from shipping, though pieces arrived fine. Still, rain or snow may have gotten in had it been such a day of weather.
As expressed in the headline, I find this icon beautiful...the expression on the image of Christ is comforting and peaceful. I only wish I had ordered a larger size!
I've had a hard time finding an icon of Christ that I really like. I do like this one.
